Newer Post Home Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom) Meet Shawn A native of both Vicksburg and Philadelphia, Mississippi, Shawn learned that he had a gift for writing when he wrote an essay on what “Peace” meant to him in his sixth grade class. Since then, Shawn has let his creativity and imagination grow unimpeded. He has felt that God has guided him to the places that he is now. As Deputy Editor of J'Adore Magazine, he felt that his calling was not complete and as God continues to guide him in different directions, he was offered the chance to become part of ASL Inside ATL. Being a Profoundly Deaf Adult with a Cochlear Implant, he was in a special position being between the hearing and Deaf worlds and able to communicate freely in both. Though the idea was only beginning for ASL Inside ATL, he fully believed in it and grasped onto it strongly.
